Aerial Shoots
PermalinkMany of you have asked about my experience with aerial shooting. I have shot for a few companies from the air and each time has been radically different. Its amusing to me that I get these gigs because I am terrified of heights… go figure. But there is something amazing when you see areas you are familiar with from a different perspective. The tricky part is not creeping yourself out on the fact that you are hanging out of a helicopter with no doors, hovering 1000 feet or more over the ground. I recently went up for a project over Anaheim to shoot with a tilt-shift lens. Here are some behind the scenes.
This small of a helicopter was a personal first…. TINY!

This shot was just interesting to me … being the same level with the blimp.

Here are a few from past trips in the air.

Enjoy the day!
